Corporate Branding, Identity & Visual Language for
IBI Group

This global firm’s exceptional growth and acquisitions over a short period of time came at the cost of a unified visual identity.

I developed an approach to office identities that allowed for the immediate adoption of a common look and unify the IBI Group of companies.

The firm’s growth also saw the collaboration of newly acquired offices from different regions. This required recognition of the firm from one office location to the next and was the catalyst for the development of corporate graphic standards, which I co-designed and co-authored.

Process

IBI Group’s corporate style guide was developed to minimize the need for one-to-one training. I acted as co-designer and co-author for this project. ‘The Look’ chapter featured above included ‘mini-tutorials’ for the application of core design elements like; colour palette, typography, supporting graphics and imagery/photography. To ensure the firm’s offices executed similar pieces, each element had measurable guidelines in the form of a checklist that were visually highlighted with accompanying samples.
