Step Into the World of Bordeaux: BCLIQUOR’s 2020 Vintage Release
The Bordeaux Release is a highly anticipated annual event at BCLIQUOR stores. Sought-after vintages from this region are made available at every price point, for wine enthusiasts and curious newcomers.
I created a bold, contemporary design, with a composition that invites audiences to peer into the vineyard and ‘‘Step into the World of Bordeaux” for the release of the 2020 vintage.
Process
My aim was to create a visually intriguing message that would appeal to both experienced release shoppers and welcome newcomers.
Due to the intricate composition, to prepare for the photoshoot I took the initiative to create files that allowed the external creative team to impose test shots of the model while on set. This allowed me to ensure that the shape of the model fit in the composition perfectly and reduce time spent in post production. Working with the Senior Manager of Brand and Customer Experience, a wardrobe evoking a fall forward feeling and a touch of romance was thoughtfully selected.
The graphics needed to be flexible enough to allow them to work in formats from small social images, brochures, posters and large scale displays, including large scale lightboxes and oversized vestibule display panels. I worked with the Senior Visual Merchandiser to take advantage of each type of visual arrangement to maximize customer engagement. Together we also worked with another internal designer to make plans for the new lightbox displays, which I later oversaw their execution by an external vendor in a compressed timeline.
